15th February 2010 – Remember in the 90’s (and even some sites today!) when websites featured lame, cheap and tacky animated GIF images? Well this collection is anything but lame, cheap or tacky. Davidope (dvdp) is the creative director and founder of the design atelier volll. When I first came across some of dvdp’s work I was absolutely amazed at these hypnotic and mesmorising animated GIF images. Dvdp is planning a big colorful site but until now you can find a daily dose of inspiration at his Visual Chinatown over at Tumblr and here are 10 blogs to get your infographic design inspiration.

Still useless though. Where can I use them on an actual website? People said the same thing about Under Construction animations years ago, about HOW COOL THEY LOOK, and one turned into many and soon there we’re about 7 under construction animations on peoples websites.
Fun to look at once? Sure. But no real use in web development.

Great animations! I’ve saved a couple for use on my next trip into the indigo. I must say, however, that the first one is my favorite. One of the best animations of a jogging woman’s breast I’ve ever seen.
