One particular app that has been making the waves in mobile photography today is Instagram. A photo sharing app that allows users to apply a filter to the pictures they take. These filters pay homage to vintage cameras — the Polaroid and the Kodak Instamatic. These filters provides the character and appeal to the pictures, providing that vintage postcard print feel.
Though I’ve seen over a hundred different photos uploaded on Instagrid.me (instagram’s web gallery for their users) that’s as unique as Rainbowgirl’s minimalist pictures. Her pictures are unique and has an unusual eeriness that’s not usually seen in Instagram-made pictures.
