People nowadays spent more and more hours browsing the Internet and in particular Social Media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. With today’s technology it is so easy to update your online status via computers, tablets and smart phones. Research has shown that the average student spends 50% more time checking social media sites than they do studying and this means a significant impact on the Grade Point Average. Things aren’t looking too good in the workplace either as the distraction of receiving a message or tweet can take over 20 minutes for the worker to get back to work. This loss of productivity can cost the US economy $650 billion per year!
