Okay… It’s a strange reason why I was influenced and inspired to write this post. Well to be honest it was because I spilt some red wine on my nice cream carpet and was in awe at the great splatter pattern the wine had made but then I snapped out of it and swore really loudly and rushed to get something to clean it up. Anyway here are 20 stains and splat brushes worth checking out for some cool effects.

I am forever customising the look of my Mac & iPhone. I get bored with the look of my desktop and phone pretty quick so rotating the wallpaper once or twice a month does the soul good. In this post I’m just going to focus on the iPhone for this collection that I’ve managed to sniff out and hopefully they will keep my iPhone nice and colourful for some time to come. I must state that they may have been designed or cropped for iPhones but they are compatible with most big screen cell phones. Enjoy! More >

Truly Amazing Hypnotic Animations

15th February 2010 – Remember in the 90′s (and even some sites today!) when websites featured lame, cheap and tacky animated GIF images? Well this collection is anything but lame, cheap or tacky. Davidope (dvdp) is the creative director and founder of the design atelier volll. When I first came across some of dvdp’s work I was absolutely amazed at these hypnotic and mesmorising animated GIF images. Dvdp is planning a big colorful site but until now you can find a daily dose of inspiration at his Visual Chinatown over at Tumblr. More >
